The Butterfly Affect

Let’s begin by explaining the definition of faith!

Hebrews 11:1 says, “Faith is the assurance of things hoped for, the conviction of things not seen.”

A butterfly experiences many phases before it is fully developed. As we grow on our journey to live a blessed life, we should have a butterfly affect type of faith!

Phase 1 - The Egg

“You don’t have enough faith,” Jesus told them. “I tell you the truth, if you had faith even as small as a mustard seed, you could say to this mountain, ‘Move from here to there,’ and it would move. Nothing would be impossible.”

Having a small pinch of faith can take you a long way! Trust in God and lean not to your own understanding and watch what He can do for you. As you begin to put your trust in God it may take time for your faith to build up, but surely I tell you a little faith will take you a long way.

Phase 2 - The Caterpillar- (When the caterpillar grows.)

Romans 10:17 - “So faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.”

As you began to notice and experience the wonderful works of our Lord Christ Jesus, your faith will begin to grow. Getting into the word of God and gaining an understanding of His word will increase your faith as you learn to put your hope into Him and His word. Understand that God is the greatest and His works are marvelous.

Phase 3 - The Pupa- (The conversion of a caterpillar to a butterfly).

1 John 5:4 - “For everyone who has been born of God overcomes the world. And this is the victory that has overcome the world—our faith.”

During the pupa stage of faith, your faith grows. As we truly begin to walk by faith, our mindset shifts and brings us a spirit of revelation, hope, and future!

Phase 4 - The Butterfly

2 Corinthians 5:7- “For we walk by faith, not by sight..”

As we develop into our butterfly faith which is the adult phase, and last phase of the becoming of a butterfly, our faith is in full affect! As we continue our journey of growing our faith, we shall walk by faith and not the circumstances of what we see!

My dear blessed one, it is now time for us to grow and experience the amazing things that God has to offer by having faith!

Sincerely,

Aleah Robinson
